There are many different approaches you can take when designing wedding rings. The easiest way is to start with the diamond in mind. If you want to start with the diamond, you have to choose what kind of cut you want.  Some options are:

2.    A princess cut – This is one of the most popular styles of diamonds due to it’s brilliance and the availability of wedding rings for it. A princess cut is a square shape diamond with pointed corners.
3.    An emerald cut – This large square diamond is beautiful when the clarity of the original stone is exceptional.  If you need to go with a lower quality diamond, make sure you receive the clarity plot to determine what parts are not as clear. The clarity plot will help choose the optimal setting when using an imperfect gem.
4.    Marquise cut – This cut will maximize the size of your diamond, making it look large and brilliant. The marquise diamond is often used on conjunction with a pear shaped diamonds due to the similar shape.
